Vulcanization pressure is a key condition for adhesive bonding of belt vulcanizers. Because the pressure can play the following roles in the vulcanization process:
①Improve the compactness and adhesion of the core layer and the rubber, exhaust the gas inside the joint, and eliminate bubbles;
②Promote the flow of rubber and quickly fill the adhesive surface of the core layer;
③Improve the adhesion strength of the adhesive surface of the tape joint and the flexural resistance of the tape.
The vulcanization force depends on the performance of the compound (mainly plasticity), product structure, and process conditions. The flow of the rubber is small, and the vulcanization pressure should be larger; otherwise, the pressure should be smaller. The tape is thick, there are many layers of tape (core layer), and the structure is complex. If the steel wire rope is the core layer, a larger vulcanization pressure should be required. The effect of vulcanization pressure on the vulcanization speed is very small, and it is generally not considered. When vulcanizing and bonding on site, the vulcanization pressure of canvas and nylon core tape is 0.8-1.2MPa ;. If the tape is thin, the lower limit should be used, and if the tape is thick, the upper limit should be used.
Vulcanization time: The vulcanization bonding process must be completed after a certain period of time. Vulcanization time can be calculated according to the following formula for canvas and nylon core tape:
T = Tzh + (i + δ) K where: T
